  • The no-fail trick is to create a budget and stick with it. Decide just how much you can comfortably afford to pay and try not to go over this total.
  • Monitor your spending. Check the Spend Analyzer printed in your statement of account for the summary of your spending, on a per category basis. It’s summarized for you on a monthly and a year-to-date basis.
  • Track your budget and purchases. Enroll in Spend Monitor and receive real-time SMS alerts on your credit card spending plus a tracking of your set budget.
  • Make sure you pay at least the full minimum amount due on your card as often as possible. If you are sticking to your monthly budget, this shouldn't be a problem. See available options and channels where you can pay for your RCBC Credit Card bill here.
  • Never let others use your card or share your PIN to avoid problems that may arise from fraudulent charges. Not only will these fraudulent charges give you a headache, more importantly, it can destroy your credit worthiness. Be vigilant.
  • When paying with your card, be watchful of the amount that is indicated and how many times the sales clerk has dipped/tapped your card. Make sure that the correct amount is indicated and that your card only dipped/tapped once.
  • A lost or stolen credit card can cause you grave financial problems. Immediately report the matter to 8888-1888 as soon as you notice that your credit card is missing. Don’t wait a day or even a minute. Remember, all transactions made using your card prior to the time you reported it as missing will be charged to your account. Always be aware of where your credit card is.
  • Read all pertinent messages, updates, and/or notices printed on your Statement of Account. This will help you in keeping your RCBC Credit Card account in good order and standing.

  • Never surrender your card to anyone for whatever reason. We can provide all the services you need (i.e., balance transfer, card upgrade or replacement, increase in credit limit) without getting your card from you.
  • Never respond to fraudulent e-mails especially those that are requesting for confidential account information. If you’ve received any emails like this or responded to one already, please call our Customer Service hotline 8888-1888 immediately.
  • Never divulge your card number, online passwords and, most importantly, the last three digits at the back of your card to anyone. If you have been issued a Personal Identification Number (PIN), memorize it and destroy the mailer on which it was sent.
  • When dining or shopping, always personally hand over your card to the cashier and take note of the length of time before your card is returned to you.
  • Before signing, check whether the amount printed on your transaction slip is the actual amount of your purchase
