Setting up and using your RCBC Pay is super easy!
Here's how it works:





Enable RCBC Pay
First, enable NFC and Biometrics on your phone and the RCBC Pulz app.
Once your NFC and Biometrics are activated, continue setting up your RCBC Pay:
  1. Log in to RCBC Pulz app and open “RCBC Pay”.
  2. Select your RCBC Mastercard Credit Card.
  3. And then verify using a One-Time Password.

Shop and pay
Once your RCBC Pay is set up, you’re ready to tap & go. Look for the Contactless Symbol in stores. Open your RCBCPay and authenticate using biometrics.


Tap your phone and go!
To make a payment, just tap and hold your phone near the contactless terminal until the payment is completed.

Payment confirmation will be displayed on the POS terminal and sent via SMS.



       

PROMO  MECHANICS

  1. The promo is open to all RCBC Mastercard Credit Cardholders whose accounts are active and in good standing. Cardholder must have the latest version of RCBC Pulz App installed on an NFC-enabled android Phone.
  2. Promo period is from September 25 to December 31, 2024.
  3. The promo entitles the cardholders to Earn 2x Rewards Points for every successful RCBC Pay transaction during the promo period.
  4. No minimum spend requirement and no cap on points.
  5. The use of the RCBC Mastercard Credit Card and RCBC Pay in connection with this promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of the RCBC Credit Card.
  6. The promo can be availed in conjunction with other ongoing promotional offers of RCBC Credit Card. Transactions that were already used for discounts from other RCBC Credit Card’s promotions may be used by the cardholder to earn rewards points when the concerned transaction meets the criteria of other promo.
  7. Rewards points will be awarded at the end of each billing cycle.
  8. RCBC Credit Cards reserves the right to reverse or adjust the rewards points posted if the qualifying transactions were disputed or canceled on a later date, or if the transaction is found to be invalid or fraudulent, or if a reversal of entry is made on any of the qualified transactions, or if there is erroneous posting of the rewards points.
  9. In case of dispute but not limited to the Cardholder’s eligibility, coverage of dates and fulfillment, RCBC Credit Cards’ decision shall prevail with the concurrence of DTI.

PROMO MECHANICS

  1. The promo is open to all RCBC Mastercard Credit Cardholders whose accounts are active and in good standing. Cardholder must have the latest version of RCBC Pulz App installed on an NFC-enabled android Phone.
  2. Promo runs from October 15, 2024 to December 31, 2024. All transactions must be made during the promo period to qualify for the promo.

• Deadline for earning entries is on 11:59PM of December 31, 2024.

  1. Winners will be announced on January 10, 2025 via the RCBC Credit Card’s official website and Facebook page.
  2. The Top 10 Cardholders with the highest spend from qualified RCBC Pay transactions during the Promo Period will win the following (“The Prize”).

  1. Transactions made by the Supplementary cardholder are qualified as part of the Primary cardholder’s spend.
  2. In the case of a tie, RCBC Bankard Services Corporation (“RCBC Credit Cards”), in collaboration with a representative from the DTI, will determine the Top Spender (“The Winner”) by identifying the cardholder who reached the required amount first, based on the date and time.
  3. The 20% withholding tax for prizes exceeding ₱10,000.00 shall be shouldered by RCBC.

TRACKING OF SPEND

  1. The qualified cardholders will be receiving an SMS informing their accumulated spend per cut-off.

  2. RCBC Bankard Services Corporation (“RCBC Credit Cards”), in collaboration with a representative from the DTI, will determine the Top Spender (“The Winner”) based on cumulative spend during the Promo Period at the RCBC Bankard Head Office, 31/F Robinsons-Equitable Tower, No. 4 ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City on January 8, 2025.
  3. The Prize is non-transferable and non-convertible to cash and cannot be replaced with other items/services.

NOTIFICATION & CLAIMING OF PRIZES

  1. Winners will be announced and posted on RCBC Credit’s official website, social media pages, and/or electronic direct mail.
  2. Winners will be notified by RCBC via registered mail & registered e-mail within two (2) weeks on from the day of the official announcement.
  3. Winners must provide their Tax Identification Number (TIN) and a valid government-issued ID to be sent to RCBC Credit Cards via email: raalvaran.rcbcbankard.com. The winner must also sign and submit the Quit Claim upon claiming of the prize.
  4. In the event the winner remains uncontacted via SMS or video call after 60 days from receipt of notification or doesn’t meet any of the requirements stated above, RCBC Credit Cards reserves the right to forfeit the winner and select another winner/top spender with approval from DTI.
  5. To claim the prize, Winner must present one (1) valid government ID and his/her valid RCBC Mastercard Credit Card.

GENERAL TERMS

  1. All employees of RCBC, RBSC, Mastercard Inc., and their relatives up to the second degree of affinity or consanguinity are disqualified from joining this promo.
  2. RCBC Credit Cards/ RCBC Bankard Services Corp hold the right to certify whether or not a winning cardholder is an eligible cardholder and his/her account satisfies the criteria set in the promo mechanics.
  3. RCBC Credit Cards/ RCBC Bankard Services Corp, in concurrence with DTI rules and regulations, regarding this promo will be deemed final and non-negotiable.
  4. The promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of RCBC Credit Cards.

Commonly asked questions

RCBC Pay is a feature in the RCBC Pulz app that enables payments to be charged from an RCBC Mastercard Credit Card by simply tapping an NFC-enabled Android mobile phone at a point-of-sale (“POS”) terminal that supports contactless payments.

To turn on NFC on your Android device, navigate to Settings > Connections. Select “Contactless payments”, set “RCBC Pulz” as your default payment service, and enable “Pay with currently open app”.

You can enable each of your RCBC Mastercard Credit Cards (including Co-Brand Cards) to have an RCBC Pay capability through RCBC Pulz. Ensure your Card is not locked. If it is locked, you need to unlock it first through the same app.

To enable RCBC Pay, please see the steps below: 

  1. Log in to RCBC Pulz and open "RCBC Pay".

    You can find it on the (1) ‘Pay’ icon in the bottom center of the screen, (2) ’Credit Card’ dashboard, or (3) ‘Security’ settings.

  2. Select the RCBC Mastercard Credit Card you want to use for RCBC Pay and tap ‘Continue’.
  3. Verify using One-Time Password (OTP) to complete the RCBC Pay setup!

To use RCBC Pay, log in to the RCBC Pulz app and click the “RCBC Pay” icon or the “Pay” button at the bottom portion of the screen. Authenticate the transaction through biometrics then tap the phone directly at the POS contactless terminal.

The merchant POS terminal will print a receipt of your successful payment. You will also receive an SMS notification for every successful RCBC Pay transaction.

Yes, RCBC Pay can be used at all Mastercard-accepting merchants with contactless POS terminals here in the Philippines and abroad. These terminals may display the “Tap to Pay”   symbol.

No, you must have an internet connection to access the RCBC Pulz app and transact using RCBC Pay.

No, you do not need to present your RCBC Mastercard Credit Card when paying with RCBC Pay.

Yes, RCBC Pay is safe to use as it requires logging in to the RCBC Pulz app before transacting. You will also be authenticated before tapping your phone on the card terminal.

RCBC Pay is currently not available for POS-based installment transactions. You may however opt to do a straight payment transaction with RCBC Pay and convert the purchase to Unli Installment using the RCBC Pulz. Alternatively, you can use your physical credit card to purchase on installment at our partner merchants.

You must have RCBC Pulz app version 11.3.2 or higher to use RCBC Pay

To see the RCBC Pay icon, please ensure that:

  1. Your phone is an Android smartphone with NFC and biometrics capability.
  2. Your RCBC Pulz version is at least 11.3.2.
  3. You have an active RCBC Mastercard credit card registered in RCBC Pulz.
  4. Your RCBC Mastercard credit card is not locked; and
  5. The biometrics authentication is enabled both on your device and RCBC Pulz Security page.

The 4-digit number is a token that is generated to replace your real card number so your real credit card number is not exposed during an RCBC Pay transaction. 

At the moment, RCBC Pay is only available for NFC-enabled Android users. For iPhone users, the equivalent payment method is Apple Pay, which is not yet available in the Philippines. 

At the moment, only RCBC Mastercard credit cards can use RCBC Pay.
