RCBC Pay is a feature in the RCBC Pulz app that enables payments to be charged from an RCBC Mastercard Credit Card by simply tapping an NFC-enabled Android mobile phone at a point-of-sale (“POS”) terminal that supports contactless payments.
To turn on NFC on your Android device, navigate to Settings > Connections. Select “Contactless payments”, set “RCBC Pulz” as your default payment service, and enable “Pay with currently open app”.
You can enable each of your RCBC Mastercard Credit Cards (including Co-Brand Cards) to have an RCBC Pay capability through RCBC Pulz. Ensure your Card is not locked. If it is locked, you need to unlock it first through the same app.

You can find it on the (1) ‘Pay’ icon in the bottom center of the screen, (2) ’Credit Card’ dashboard, or (3) ‘Security’ settings.
To use RCBC Pay, log in to the RCBC Pulz app and click the “RCBC Pay” icon or the “Pay” button at the bottom portion of the screen. Authenticate the transaction through biometrics then tap the phone directly at the POS contactless terminal.
The merchant POS terminal will print a receipt of your successful payment. You will also receive an SMS notification for every successful RCBC Pay transaction.
Yes, RCBC Pay can be used at all Mastercard-accepting merchants with contactless POS terminals here in the Philippines and abroad. These terminals may display the “Tap to Pay” symbol.
No, you must have an internet connection to access the RCBC Pulz app and transact using RCBC Pay.
No, you do not need to present your RCBC Mastercard Credit Card when paying with RCBC Pay.
Yes, RCBC Pay is safe to use as it requires logging in to the RCBC Pulz app before transacting. You will also be authenticated before tapping your phone on the card terminal.

RCBC Pay is currently not available for POS-based installment transactions. You may however opt to do a straight payment transaction with RCBC Pay and convert the purchase to Unli Installment using the RCBC Pulz. Alternatively, you can use your physical credit card to purchase on installment at our partner merchants.

The 4-digit number is a token that is generated to replace your real card number so your real credit card number is not exposed during an RCBC Pay transaction.
At the moment, RCBC Pay is only available for NFC-enabled Android users. For iPhone users, the equivalent payment method is Apple Pay, which is not yet available in the Philippines.
At the moment, only RCBC Mastercard credit cards can use RCBC Pay.
