Balance Conversion allows the conversion of outstanding balances to installment but with the following exclusions: Cash Advance transactions, monthly amortizations of existing installments, Casino / gambling transactions, interest charges and fees.
The amount eligible for Balance Conversion must exclude monthly amortization, fees, interest charges and the minimum amount due.
Balance Conversion availment can be paid in easy and flexible installment terms at 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24 and 36 months installment terms based on the assigned Balance Conversion interest rates per cardholder.
To avail of Balance Conversion, cardholders need to call the RCBC Credit Card Customer Service at 8888-1888.
The approved Balance Conversion amount must not exceed the available credit limit of the cardholder.
The approved Balance Conversion loan amount will automatically be posted on the cardholder’s Statement of Account (SOA) at the nearest cut-off date following the conversion of the booked transaction amount.
For all loan installment availments including Balance Conversion, the first amortization shall be deferred for up to 31 days from the date of loan disbursement. A fee equivalent to the initial interest will be collected from the cardholder due to the longer payment period provided in order to repay the Principal Amount. The initial interest is computed based on diminishing balance, taking into consideration the actual number of days from the date of disbursement to the posting date.
Once the Balance Conversion request is approved, the monthly amortizations shall form part of the total outstanding balance due in the cardholder’s statement of account. Should the cardholder choose to pay only a portion of the total amount due but not less than the minimum amount due, the monthly installment shall be subject to the regular finance charges.
Conversion availments and its monthly amortizations shall no longer earn rewards points.
If the cardholder decides to pre-terminate or pay the Balance Conversion installment plan in full before maturity, a pre-termination fee of Php 500.00 or 5% of the unpaid principal amount, whichever is higher will be charged. This amount is on top of one month’s worth of interest, as computed based on EIR.
A processing fee of Php250 will be charged to the cardholder’s account for every Balance Conversion transaction.
In cases of suspension, cancellation and/or non-renewal of the RCBC Credit Card due to non-payment or breach of any of the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of the RCBC Credit Card, RCBC Credit Card shall automatically render all the outstanding obligations of the cardholder under the RCBC Credit Card Cash Loan facility due and demandable without need of prior notice.
Monthly interest rate, late payment penalty and other charges to be applied by the Balance Conversion facility shall be determined by RCBC Credit Card.
The abovementioned terms and conditions for the implementation of the RCBC Credit Card Balance Conversion facility may be amended and supplemented by RCBC Credit Card from time to time, as may be deemed necessary.
